LET’S GO FOR A RIDE
Before you begin, we will teach you how to drive a Segway. Once picked up the practice, we will visit La Candelaria neighborhood, in the center of the city: Bolivar Square, Cathedral, museums, the narrows streets…
The Segway does not occupy more than 8 or 10 inches extra on each side of the person. It’s like you have big feet and carried two bags in their hands and need more space. But you fit in anywhere. Neither have you too high, about 8 inched approx. Go slowly and is incredibly noiseless, ride in pedestrian areas, and you go among people without any problems, without scaring or run over. It’s like going on a normal scooter (less than a bicycle). You can go on sidewalks or on the road.
Pedestrians are amazed and find it fun, certainly everybody smiles when they see it. You must wear a helmet. Bogotá is a city bicycle friendly, with wide sidewalks and mostly flat with no hills, is ideal for driving on a Segway
