
This 3 day tour leaves from Cartagena and takes you to the historically preserved town of Mompox located in a unique geografical position in the Magdalena River, once a port stop during the Spanish colonization era its beauty still reflects its past. From the departure from Cartagena the tour will pass through the towns of San Juan de Nepomuceno, San Jacinto, Carmen de Bolívar, Magangue and finaly Mompox. Once in Mompox we will visit the Parque de Bolívar, Colegio Nacional Pinillos, San Juan de Dios church, San Francisco church, Church of the Concepción and to the piedra de Bolívar. In Mompox we will rest in our accommodation for the night and enjoy an included dinner.
The following day after breakfast we will visit the Cultural museum, goldsmith workshop, San Agustín church, Casa del Recuerdo, this historic sites of Marquesa and Santa Bárbara church as well as a visit to the school of filgiree. After a lunch we will then visit the Pijiño swamp: We will also have a trip in a typical boat from where we can enjoy the surrounding flora and fauna of the reigon. A rest in our hotel with a dinner included to follow.
The next morning after breakfast in Mompox we will then head back to Cartagena.
