Bogota is the fourth largest city in South America. Currently Bogotá is a modern metropolis with nearly nine million inhabitants, covering approximately 33,000 hectares. Thanks to technical advances inherent to large cities, and substantial transformation in the past eight years, Bogotá is now a friendly, lovely city offering rich and varied cultural life. A city providing all modern life services and comfort required, while not giving up many of its colonial time uses preserved by traditional neighborhoods.

Visit the mystical Archeological National Park of San Agustin also know as the Park of the Stone Gods. These magnificent pieces are all that remain of an aesthetically advanced civilization that lived and disappeared in mystery 1,500 years ago, leaving their trace only through these statues. Many of the pieces, which range from one meter to seven meters can, weigh more than a ton. They signify life’s duality; the sun and the moon, death and birth. Archaeologists estimate that the statues were created between 100 BC and 800 AD.

Armenia is Located in the Coffee Triangle. This is where the best mild coffee in the world is grown and, in order to discover the deepest secrets of a great gourmet coffee, you must tour the region and experience and enjoy its climates and landscapes. Stroll along the beautiful beaches of the Tayrona National Park, fringed by virgin and exuberant nature, which are among the most beautiful in the world. The rivers and jungles that descend the mountainside are full of animal life. Parrots and hollering monkeys can be heard as they alert other animals to the presence of hikers.

Declared by UNESCO a World Cultural Heritage Site, Cartagena adds an exciting nightlife, international cultural festivals, lush scenery, magnificent beaches, excellent cuisine, and a diverse hotel and tourist infrastructure to its colonial, republican, and modern architecture. No one doubts that Cartagena is the jewel of the Colombian Caribbean.

The Rosario Islands are made up of 43 islands, covering 20 hectares of coral islands and reefs. The climate is tropical, humid, and averages 27 degrees Celsius. The Parks mangroves, coral reefs, and sea flora constitute one of the most diverse and productive ecosystems on the planet.

The Salt Cathedral of Zipaquirá is an underground church built in a tunnel of salt mines 200 meters inside a salt mountain near the town of Zipaquirá, in Cundinamarca, Colombia.

Daily breakdown

Day 1 – Bogota

Transfer from Airport – Hotel, Get settled into Bogota and rest or explore a little

Day 2 – San Agustin

Flight Bogota – Neiva, once you have been picked up at the airport in Neiva, you will drive out to explore the Tatacoa Desert. Afterwards you will head to the amazing Archeological town of San Agustin.

Day 3 – San Agustin

Morning visit to the incredible San Agustin Archeological Park, in the afternoon you can do one of 2 activities; horseback riding or rafting.

Day 4 – San Agustin – Armenia

Transfer Hotel in San Agustin – Airport (in Neiva) (around 3 hours), Flight Neiva– Bogota – Armenia, Transfer Airport – Hotel (in Armenia)

Day 5 – Armenia

Guided horse back riding tour through the Cocora Valley. You will then go to the town of Salento.

Guided trek tour to Chairama, a Coguis Indigenous Village. (6 hours approx)

Transfer from Taganga – Cartagena in a private car. (3 hours)

Day 11 – Cartagena

Overnight trip to the tropical Rosario Islands in a private boat. San Pedro de Majagua Resort.

Day 12 – Cartagena

Morning return to Cartagena from Rosario Islands, Afternoon City Tour; with visits to the modern El Laguito and Bocagrande districts before returning to the old city, complete tour of the old city with extensive visits to the most important historical sites and buildings. Next, visit to San Felipe Fort & Castle, and ‘La Popa’ monastery, taking approximately 4 hours.

    This tour was a great way of seeing Colombia. The highlight for my was the Caribbean the amazing Tayrona National Park. I totally recommend it.
